A space for creatives of all ages and skill-levels! Bring your own portable craft to work on or try out some of our projects.
We’ll have different stations set up to explore throughout the weekend. If a certain craft you are interested in is not set out the day you are attending, do not hesitate to ask our Hobby Hideaway staff. Depending on availability of our materials, they are happy to set you up to let your creativity flourish!

Alongside our open crafting, the Hobby Hideaway will also be hosting various Workshops led by fellow creatives in our community! Workshops are first-come-first-serve in terms of available materials and seating. Workshops are scheduled to run for over an hour, so please check back in during the event to see if space opens up for you to join in the experience.

CYBERBAE Crochet & Craft Corner

A cozy, community lounge where attendees can bring their own projects, swap yarn and materials at the stash table, and connect through creativity. Beginners are welcome to learn basic stitches with free hooks (limited supply) and yarn provided, making this an inclusive space for all skill levels.

Kumihimo Friendship Bracelet Demo

“Kumihimo” is Japanese for “gathered threads” and is the traditional art of braided cord making. This textile art form was featured in the anime film Your Name. Learn how to make your own in corded friendship bracelet during this dedicated demo time. These materials will also be available throughout the weekend for you to try on your own if you are not able to attend.
Love and Deepspace Fan Experience

And They Were Roommates: A (SFW) Shipping Fanfiction Workshop

Build-a-Bouquet: Wood Flower Workshop

Join KrisBrig Creative for a free hands-on wood flower workshop where participants will create beautiful mini bouquets to be donated to Grace Guest House in Buffalo, NY, a nonprofit that provides a comforting home-away-from-home for patients and families traveling for medical care. The session will also feature live demonstrations of the wood flower crafting process.
