The team at KinshokuCon 2025 is searching for exciting events, panels, and other types of programming for our convention! Do you want to do a presentation on your favorite anime? Teach other people an exciting new craft? Host a game show to test audiences’ knowledge and skills? Are you a performer or part of a performance group that is ready to light up a stage? This is the application for you! Whether it’s just you or a group of friends, if you are a seasoned veteran or a first-timer looking to find a start, we welcome all applications and can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Types of Programming:

Panel

Panels are a type of event run by dedicated fans like yourself that focuses on a specific topic. Panels usually involve a host(s) leading some kind of activity; a presentation, an in-character cosplay Q&A,- the possibilities are endless!

Game Show

Game Shows are a type of event that involves audience participation. These can be events such as trivia, participation games, and more. Sometimes, the host(s) may even choose to have prizes to give away, but this is not required.

Main Event

Main Events are types of events that would typically need a larger space and require significant setup and teardown time. We are interested in performances that highlight a variety of nerdy and/or cultural pursuits. These events may involve concerts, instrumental, dance, and/or vocal performances, skill/talent demonstrations, and group dances.

Workshop

Workshops are types of events that take place in our Hobby Hideaway. These events usually involve a host(s) teaching or demonstrating to attendees a certain skill, pertaining to crafting. Workshops will have sign-ups beforehand in order to ensure that there are enough materials and space for everyone who wants to participate. NOTE: While KinshokuCon 2025 may provide some of its own supplies, workshops may rely on the host(s) supplying materials to use and share.

Gaming

Gaming events differs from a game show as it will often include the use of a video game console, board game, trading card game, or other gaming setup. This could include events such as quick tournaments, learn to play, tips and tricks, and more. Please be advised that we are not capable of offering a dedicated space for campaign events or lengthy tournaments at this point in time. A gaming event may require sign-ups before the event occurs and/or prizes offered to winners, prizes are not required. KinshokuCon 2025 will also be accepting applications for outdoor-style and social gaming competitions, such as cornhole, giant jenga etc., weather permitting. Should the weather not be favorable on the day of the convention, the organizers of KinshokuCon will attempt to move the event to a different day or space if the schedule allows.

18+ Programming

If you believe your event will include mature content (this includes profanity), please make sure to let us know in your application. KinshokuCon 2025 is an all ages convention, and we want everyone to be able to enjoy as much programming as possible. Having 18+ content will not negatively affect your event’s chances of being approved, but may limit it to certain times of the day.

Programming Etiquette

  • Event host(s) must abide by the KinshokuCon 2025 Code of Conduct at all times.
  • Host(s) will be given five (5) minutes before and after the event to set up / tear down. Main Events will be given additional time at the discretion of the KinshokuCon organizers. Host(s) should not linger any longer than necessary in order to give the next event a chance to set up.
  • Host(s) are expected to stay true to the event that was accepted, and not use their approved time to do something contrary to what was submitted on the accepted application.
  • If it is found that the host(s) are not abiding by these rules, KinshokuCon organizers and/or staff reserve the right to promptly shut down the event if deemed necessary.
  • Above all else – be respectful and have fun!

Programming Compensation

As a thank you for contributing to the success of KinshokuCon 2025, we will compensate the primary host, as listed on the programming application, with one (1) single-day badge for the day your event is scheduled. If you are a part of a performance group, additional badges will be given out at the discretion of the KinshokuCon organizers. All applicants are required to purchase a badge to KinshokuCon 2025 upon acceptance of your event. You will be reimbursed within thirty (30) days of the end of the convention (November 16th, 2025).

Application Process

We would love to hear about all of your different ideas for programming, and you are welcome to submit multiple applications! As a disclaimer, be aware that the programming acceptance process involves a juried review of each application, and not every event submitted will be accepted.

Applications will be reviewed upon the closure of this application, and primary decisions will be sent out two (2) months before the convention. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at kinshokucon@gmail.com.
